Share StarShare Camera images via Twitter

Twitter users rejoice – now you can easily share any pictures that you snap in the StarShare Camera with your friends and followers via Twitter with just a few mouse clicks.
Images that you share will include a link back to Slooh and will also automatically mention the @Slooh Twitter username. Just imagine the savings in keyboard wear and tear alone by not having to type all of that in!
Of course you can still share those amazing images via Facebook as well. Use the StarShare Camera and tell the whole world how easy it is to discover the wonders of the universe through Slooh.

Community Members can now control the Slooh telescopes!

As a part of our ongoing efforts to provide more value to our members, we are pleased to announce that Community Members can now control the Slooh telescopes! Community members will be able to make reservations on our Canary Islands and Chile telescopes, and then choose from a list of popular objects visible at that time from the telescope you have chosen.
As a community member, you can make up to 5 reservations per month, including the ability to store photos in the My Pictures gallery. You can also capture images while you are away, meaning pictures from any missions you reserve will be waiting for you in your ‘My Pictures’ gallery, weather permitting.
However, only Slooh Astronomers will be able to reserve missions from astronomy catalogs or enter coordinate missions, as well as receive FITS files. The new Piggyback AutoSnap feature is also exclusive to Slooh Astronomers, and only Slooh Astronomers can participate in scientific collaboration to track asteroids, comets and supernovae.
Please visit our How-To page to get started, and then visit Canary Islands or Chile reservations when you are ready to take control.
We hope you will enjoy these new capabilities as you explore the universe on Slooh.

New “Piggyback AutoSnap” Feature Launched

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new “Piggyback AutoSnap” feature!

In addition to their own quota of five concurrent reservations, Slooh Astronomer members can now select five other missions to “AutoSnap” (have the images and FITS data automatically added to your My Pictures area).

It’s really simple to use:

  1.  Just select the checkboxes next to the missions you want to autosnap:
  2. You’ll see a pop-up message if you already five Piggyback AutoSnap missions selected:

Just like your own missions, as soon as the first “Piggyback AutoSnap” mission runs, it will release that quota so you can select another mission.
